Our engineers provide detailed analysis for complex design projects. We provide computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and hourly simulated energy models (EnergyPlus and/or eQUEST) to model the energy performance of an entire building or the systems within a building.
Whole-building Engineer Modeling (EnergyPlus and/or eQUEST), accounts for the interaction between different elements of the building, such as the impact of lighting on space conditioning loads or the impact of daylighting on electrical lighting loads. The impact of different building uses and occupancy patterns is also factored into the results.
To ensure that the energy model represents the “real world” building, we calibrate the energy models to adhere with American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) guidelines. ASHRAE guidelines state energy models should be calibrated within ±10% of the utility bills.
Computational Fluid Dynamics

Our team can provide solutions to complex design problems such as identifying airflow problems that can lead to overheated servers in data centers or confirm hazardous chemicals are being properly ventilated in your laboratory.
Full-scale 3D fluid dynamic numerical simulation models complex geometries to obtain the values of all relevant variables at any point within the space. The analyses include heat transfer, various heat sources and sinks (i.e., lighting load, latent loads, miscellaneous loads) for all heat transfer methods (conduction, convection, radiation). The CFD models are used for both natural ventilation and forced ventilation via through mechanical systems.
